Cards!

Hello all it's me Stacey!

So quick update! Today I had 5 teeth pulled (fun fun!) and call me crazy... as soon as I got home I started to make cards! I guess nothing stops me from crafting huh?! In the past few weeks we've made 3 off Etsy sales and 2 on Etsy sales, which is really exciting! We have finally gotten our business cards out and about and we are really excited to see what is to come!

Anyway, it is just about that time! I have finally gotten my first set of cards posted today! The set is very simple and can be used for any occasion. It is made with an off white, acid free, lingin free paper and black acid free ink!

Here are more pictures!

Have a blessed night!
Stacey

We Had A Happy Holiday, did you?

It is always nice to be able to say that the holidays went smoothly!, I know Stacey is happy, she got A LOT of craft stuff :) Today was the day for us to get back into the swing of things, we took a little Etsy break and we are excited to be back! "getting my groove" back has been a little rough, I need a better routine. I am not sure if everyone knows but Stacey and I live about an hour apart and working together gets a little tricky sometimes!

We are excited for this weekend because we will be listing our VALENTINES DAY goodies :) She is going to come and stay with me for the weekend so we do not have to do all of our work Via, email, aim, phone and pictures!, It isn't so bad but its about time we get to spend some quality time together without the use of technology!

Reminder our Giveaway ends on December 31st, only a couple of days away!, Tell all of your friends to enter!

Experimenting

Please Pass on the word! **FREE SHIPPING** On all items $10 and over!

Stacey is finally coming home from her little "vacation" this week!, Hopefully things will start rolling faster again. We have a good inventory for our store so I have been experimenting with new ideas, and what a HOOT, I have never had so many things swirling in my head or more beads in my vacuum! (no seriously, if I really dig through the dust pile I let out of it, I may find like $100 in beads! I AM SO not there yet!).

I have also been trying to find good sources for beads. We are not only going to have beadwork in our store however, It would be nice to find somewhere good to get some at great prices!, HOWEVER, I am also looking into starting to make a few more "higher end" items with real stones, could get pricey for me, but I think it may be a good idea. I also found some great organic beads as well!

I cannot wait for my partner in crime to come home, it is VERY hard to work over the phone and internet. We are managing!

GIVEAWAY!

A little update!

Hey everyone it’s me Stacey!

I thought I would take the time a do a quick update on what’s going on in life! My boyfriend actually lives about five and a half hours from where I live so I took the Amtrak and I am up at his house now visiting so I haven’t been on much. I arrived her on Saturday around five o'clock and I have already done tons of stuff! As soon as I walked in the door Dans parents friends followed in soon after, I had an engagement party sunday and his mom and I did 6 hours of shopping today! Its been lots of fun :).

Anyway, my sister has been doing a great job keeping up with everything and as you have probably read she has set a record of making 13 pieces in a few hours… eeek when I get home I better get to work! I have finally finished crocheting my long narrow scarf that may be posted soon! I forgot to bring some extra yarn so I may just have to go to Michaels and pick up some yarn or beads!

Here are the two pairs of earrings I made late friday night to get my last Jewelry making time out before coming up here! They will be posted soon hopefully!

(A candle holder I made is in the background! They should be posted soon as well! :))

Remember guys! Our giveaway start this coming Friday! Spread the word!!

Blessings to all!
Stacey

A Beadtastic Weekend!

Sarah here!

I had a very beadtastic weekend!, Stacey and I went shopping for some supplies on Friday and I got some great stuff. Loads of beads, figuring they would last through the month. Boy was I wrong! I had about 5 hours to myself on Saturdays morning, there wasn't anyone around, and it was very icy out, so I stayed in and made jewelry the ENTIRE time! I have made about 13 new items that will be listed in our store over the next two weeks or so!

I am really starting to love ceramic beads, I was hooked on glass for some time but I just love the look and texture of ceramic, not to mention the variety of hand painted ceramic beads that you can get. I have been doing some online research to try and find the best places to get beads, I am most concerned with variety. With more and more frequent trips to Michael's and A.C. Moore for my beads I am finding that I am seeing the same stuff over and over again, there does not seem to be much of a turn around in these local chain stores. So my online search will continue! Please leave us a comment if you can recommend some online stores!

And remember guys! Our giveaway start this coming Friday! Spread the word!

About Stacey!

My turn! Hello everyone it’s Stacey! I would first like to start off by saying my sister didn’t lie about my family being afraid for both of our lives when being left alone! She would torture me and I would torture her right back with “MOMMY SARAH CALLED ME A STUPID JERK!”… Always worked :)!

Anyway, now a little about me! I’m Stacey (as you already know) I’m 19 years old and I have an amazing boyfriend of almost 3 years! I am working towards my Communications degree (yes I followed in my sisters foot steps!) doing college online. My hobbies are making jewelry, crocheting and a whole bunch of other crafts! My Jewelry and craft-making hobby first started off as a distraction from the pain I was suffering from. I was diagnosed with a incurable disease that goes by the name of Interstitial Cystitis this past May and it has changed my life around completely! I have made a few pieces to support those who have Interstitial Cystitis as well.

I'm really looking forward to what's to come!

With love,
Stacey

About Sarah!

Hey guys! Its Sarah! I suppose its my turn to bore while I talk about myself! Well, I don't think that I am that boring, we'll see!

OH, though my goal was to help you guys get to know me a little better, I thought it would be a good idea to let you know a little about Stacey and I while we were growing up!, There really isn't much to know, we never really liked each other, In fact!!!! Our parents and grandparents where always afraid to leave us home alone together when we were old enough because they where afraid one of us wouldn't come out alive! Really, we did not like each other at all, I think it was because of our age differences. I am 4 years older then Stacey and I was always one step ahead of her, when I was in my early years, I would say 8-12, I was the "kid" and she was the "baby", then once I hit around 13 or 14 years old, I was the "Teenager" (oh and we all know how awful teenagers can be) and Stacey was the "kid", teenagers don't like kids much, OK, FINE, teenagers don't like anyone usually! ah! and THEN I was the adult and Stacey was the teenager! (If you could only see the faces I just made).

It wasn't until we were both adults that we got along! and now we are best friends, doing what we love!, Making jewelry, and trying to keep up with Etsy "stuff" has become somewhat a full time hobby for the both of us (well maybe more so for me!), and were only a month in! I am excited to see what is to come!

Ok, so ME, lets see, I am 23 years old and I have a boyfriend who secretly loves picking out beads with me! I am an aspiring raw foodist (Fruit bowl please!) with a new found love for yoga. I love anything that relaxes me because I am always so busy. I work full time as a nanny and I am a full time student on my way to finishing my B.A in Communications in a few months! I am not sure what I want to do, I am not looking to be some sort of executive, I really like being a nanny, we'll see. I Love music of all kinds, and go to many concerts. I will also admit to playing a good amount of video games! (Very well rounded girl hehe). I have a love for organizing, everything around me is organized, every last bead has its own spot. Other then that I am quite simple, I can learn to love anything, and I like to make the best out of any situation.

Next is Stacey's turn to blog in our little Bio series!

With Love,

Sarah

The best part about buying something homemade....

Is knowing a little about who made what you bought! When you walk into a store, and see something that you like, you rarely think past the fact that the item is pretty, neat, cool, well thought out... etc. Do you ever think about where the item you are purchasing came from? I am not talking about which country it came from, did someone actually make it? did a machine make it? was any care, love and thought put into the item at all? Ever since I started making my own jewelry, I am far more proud to wear something I or my sister made then something I bought at a store because I know the time that was put into it. Then I thought, is this just because I or someone I love made it? and the answer is no. When you buy or receive something that is homemade you have a better time picturing the time that someone took to actually make it. I am sure there are many things that we buy in stores that people actually physically make, but we never ever get to know for sure. The appreciation and value of something homemade is far greater then that of something at perhaps a higher monetary value bought in a store.

So Stacey and I decided that we are going to do our best to let our customers know about us!, We will be posting Bio's and frequent updates on our lives in this blog! We feel it is extremely important for our viewers, and customers to know more about us then just the fact that we enjoy making jewelry! I (Sarah) Will begin by posting my Bio tomorrow!
